Thought to be one of the oldest continually occupied houses in the UK, the venue was originally commissioned by the first Norman Archbishop of York in 1080 and since then has played host to some of England’s most historical figures. Couples can say ‘I do’ either outside in the bright summerhouse, while inside the house there’s a choice of holding celebrations within the Long Gallery, the Sterne Room or the library with its stunning feature fireplace.
