Your West Midlands Wedding- April/May 2021 (Issue 73)

For our honeymoon, we went to French Polynesia for two weeks. It was a dream holiday, we stayed in overwater bungalows, and it was just incredible sitting on our balcony at night watching the blacktip reef sharks swim underneath us. We can’t wait to save up the pennies to go back there someday. The staff at The Fleece Inn were just incredible. They turned the venue around for the meal without us even noticing, and nothing was too much trouble. We also had family members who helped make our day special, particularly with the decorative touches, but our master of ceremonies really made the day run smoothly. He added a personal touch and linked the speeches together so well with his own mini-speeches in between. At the end of the wedding breakfast, one of the waiters dropped a tray of cutlery over the floor and was very apologetic. H e then burst into song! Unbeknown to us, my mum and dad had hired a singing waiter as a surprise for the day, which really got the party s tarted. It was lovely to see how relaxed and happy ever yone felt. I think having the ceremony and evening do all in one place r eally added to this. Our wedding was all about us, the food we liked, ou r favourite music and we managed to incorporate so many personal t ouches. We felt so relaxed and overwhelmed with happiness. It really was the best day of our lives and everything we ever imagined. 48
