Glorious GARDENS Laura and Oliver celebrated their love for one another with an English countryside theme at the grand Pendrell Hall Images courtesy of Timothy James Photography L aura and Oliver met during their first week of college. “We had made friends with the same group and were introduced over Xbox Live,” says Laura. “The next day in tutor class, Ollie turned to me and asked ‘are you, Laura? It’s me, Ollie, from Xbox!’ From that moment we became best friends and have been for 10 years. We’ve supported each other through difficult times, including other relationships and have a deep understanding of one another.” Oliver proposed two years into their relationship. “It was definitely a surprise, even though I’d picked out a ring,” shares the bride. “I’d whittled it down to two choices and then simply waited for him to pop the question. He smuggled the ring into my parent’s suitcase when we visited the Dominican Republic in June 2018. He told me that we were going to have a photo shoot on the beach at sunset. While posing for a photo, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was really beautiful, and I was so happy to have my parents there with us.” Here she shares some of her favourite moments from their big day... 41  REAL WEDDINGS
