 Venues with a story to tell 21 STORYBOOK S ETT I NGS HISTORIC VENUES MALVERN COLLEGE 01684 581 640 | www.malverncollegeweddings.co.uk Providing an inherently romantic setting, Malvern College is set within 250 acres of beautiful and historic grounds. Framed by the majesty of the Malvern Hills rising behind the college’s main building, the grounds boast a wealth of seasonal flowers, as well as evergreens, blossom, oak and fir trees. As impressive as its location, Malvern College’s main building is a breathtaking sight, as too is the entire 250-acre campus which is littered with elegant Victorian buildings. Nestled at the foot of the Malvern Hills, the school’s tower overlooks St George’s Terrace and the Severn Valley; on a clear day the views are truly mesmerizing. Built in 1862, Malvern College’s ‘Big School’ – which is housed in the school’s main building – is one of four impressive ceremony rooms. Its subtle grandeur boasts vaulted ceilings and arched leaded windows, adding to the captivating ambience and makes it a truly unique venue. One of the more intimate ceremony venues is Memorial Library, which possesses a warm and romantic interior, with wood panelling and shelves filled with leather bound books. The room is flooded with natural light from the large arched windows which run around the entire building. The striking stone fireplace also makes for a beautiful backdrop for weddings vows. Ceremonies take place in the Big School for 200, the Memorial Library 60 or in the newly refurbished Lyall Foyer for 80. After the ‘I dos’, The Gryphon Room, which is located at the lower part of the campus, is a generous space, catering for up to 180 guests, it has easy access and ample parking nearby. When tying the knot here couples benefit from a free menu tasting.
