Your Surrey Wedding- April/May 2021 (Issue 88)

We had booked a weekend away at Great Fosters to escape the city during the summer. We fell in love with the charming Tudor estate and beautiful gardens. We knew from the get-go that we wanted to get married outside and the property ticked all of our boxes. Each table was based on a place that has special meaning to us. Frank’s mum painted an iconic landmark from each destination that looked gorgeous. Going into the morning, we both felt nervous and excited. We put a lot of effort into making sure the day was exactly how we wanted it. We had guests travelling from all around the world, so it was important to us they had the best time possible. We had blooms on the tables from Lily’s Flowers and individual vases as name holders. As I’m half Chinese and Malaysian, we wanted to incorporate a nod to this, so we hand-decorated fortune cookies. 40
