Your Surrey Wedding- October/November 2020 (Issue 85)

To keep our guests entertained, we had harpist, Sally Whitaker perform during the ceremony and drinks reception. In the evening, we had a DJ from Livewire Parties. He read the room so well and kept us all having fun. We met with him before and chose a selection of songs and bands that we loved. Scott was struggling to find the right suit as he wears them for work and couldn’t help but feel like it was just another day at the office. We went to Moss Bros and found a patterned velvet blazer that looked incredible. He got the same thing for his best man and tuxedos for the groomsmen. I wore a Kenneth Winston dress that I found at the amazing Bride by Aster in Dorking. I would highly recommend the store, the whole experience was perfect. I went through 30 different dresses and wasn’t sure what I wanted until I put on my gown and burst into tears. I accessorised with a bespoke cathedral-length veil, lined with lace and covered in tiny diamonds. Jane from A Perfect Fit worked with me over a few sessions to get my dress fitting exactly how I wanted. The bridesmaids’ dresses were made-to-order from Sexy Her. They fitted them perfectly and were the exact colour I wanted. At the end of the night, we gathered our guests with sparklers for some final shots. We ended up having a little dance under the moon and night’s sky. We stayed at Wotton House the night before in separate rooms and struggled to sleep. We couldn’t wait to meet each other at the end of the aisle, and I ended up crying during the ceremony as I was so happy to be marrying him. REAL WEDDINGS 55 
