Your Surrey Wedding- October/November 2020 (Issue 85)

Our centrepieces were made by both our mums, who spent a few afternoons with a glue gun and glass bottles. We decorated them with fairylights and tea lights, as we knew the sun would set early in march and it would complement the venue’s canopy. For our favours, Ben brewed a batch of beer and designed labels for the bottles. We’re originally from the Midlands, so we’d always planned to get married there. Soon after we moved to Surrey, we were out walking with some friends and came across St Barnabas Church and Denbies Wine Estate and just knew it was where we wanted to celebrate our special day. We didn’t want a traditional cake, so when we came across B is for Brownie at a wedding fair, we knew we wanted her to make our big-day bake. My godmother did our flowers. She worked incredibly hard with her husband to bring our ideas to life. I wanted lots of bright, spring arrangements in different colours, and she went above and beyond our expectations. 38
