REAL WEDDINGS 47  DRESSED TO IMPRESS Sophie wore an Enzoani dress from Surrey Brides. “I loved the floral lace, and it tied in perfectly with our venues,” says Sophie. “I tried on a few gowns, but everyone loved my dress which made the decision easy. I accessorised with Sophia Webster wedges as the earthy ground at Petersham Nurseries would have been tricky to navigate in stilettos!” Abel wore a tailored three-piece chequered suit from Suit Supply. “The groomsmen opted for blue suits from French Connection,” explains the bride. “They chose a lighter blue waistcoat and burgundy ties.” “The bridesmaids chose burgundy dresses in different styles from David’s Bridal,” shares Sophie. “They all looked phenomenal, and it was lovely seeing their individual styles shine through.” TIME TO CELEBRATE “We had a wonderful singer at the church who did the most beautiful rendition of Ave Maria while we signed the register,” shares Sophie. “We also had a harpist play a mixture of modern and classic music which created a wonderful atmosphere as everyone was soaking up the scenery. Our evening band, Soul Supreme, were probably the thing our guests talked about the most after the day. The dancefloor was full all night, and they learnt our first dance song, which was a lovely, personal touch.” MEMORABLE MOMENTS “On the morning of our nuptials, I loved getting ready with the girls but by the time we left for the church I was shaking with nerves,” Sophie shares. “I was so glad that our venues were places that were really special to us which meant we could relax and by the early evening I had kicked off my shoes and stayed on the dancefloor for hours.” The couple’s nearest and dearest made their nuptials perfect. “The love and support from both our families has always been phenomenal and seeing them all together in one place made the day special irrespective of the wedding,” adds the bride. “We felt that Rachelle and her fab team from Trust in Love were amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure everything ran seamlessly, which is no mean feat across three venues! Last but not least, we have to mention all the amazing effort from our bridesmaids and ushers in the lead up to and on the day. They were huge contributions, and we felt incredibly lucky to have them by our sides.” HONEYMOON “We went to South Africa for a three-week honeymoon,” reveals Sophie. “It’s the highlight of our lives so far. We planned it together and made the most of the stunning scenery, sunshine, food and drink. We ordered lots of wine to ship back to the UK, so that has been helping us dodge the post-honeymoon blues.”
