ANIMAL fever Amy and Richard celebrated their love for each other with a grand wedding at De Vere Horsley Estate Images courtesy of Steven Etheridge Wedding Photography A my and Richard met at their wedding venue. “Around 11 years ago, I started working as a waitress at De Vere Horsley Estate, and Richard joined the company a few years later,” says Amy. “It wasn’t until 2011 when I started doing more shifts that I realised Richard was a nice guy and started flirting a little. I started making excuses to visit his office, and in 2012, my best friend Yasmin and I went to the pub after work knowing Richard would be there. The drinks were in full flow, and we ended up sneaking back to the hotel and sharing our first kiss – all of which was caught on the security camera, much to our colleagues’ delight.” Richard popped the question on the day they moved into their first house. “It was 2018, and Richard had just picked up the keys and was waiting for me to join him,” shares the bride. “I vividly remember walking from the station giddy with excitement that we were now homeowners. When I arrived, I thought he was acting a bit strange but didn’t think too much of it. After racing around the house and looking at all the empty rooms, he gave me a rose and said he’d got me a present. He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was so overwhelmed and asked him if he was sure about 20 times. We then we out for dinner with my parents and got to surprise them too!” Here she shares some of her favourite moments from their big day… 39  REAL WEDDINGS
