Your Surrey Wedding - Dec/Jan 2019 (Issue 80)

REAL WEDDINGS 51  bride. “It caused quite a stir when we driving through Richmond Park.” “We wanted to create a relaxed atmosphere, so we decided to serve our guests Mexican street food from Margo & Rita,” explains Rebecca. “Our friends and family loved it and could eat as much as they wanted.” DRESSED TO IMPRESS Rebecca had her dress made by her friend Kathryn Ross Atelier. “It took me a while to get a clear idea of what I wanted, but I knew it had to centre around some lace that I’d seen in Kathryn’s studio,” shares Rebecca. “She made a corset and underskirt that I paired with bright pink Sophia Webster flat shoes. I accessorised with Oliver Bonas earrings to mirror the lace and pearls on the gown.” Stuart wore a navy custom suit from Suitsupply with a matching pocket square. “The bridesmaids chose lovely ice blue dresses from Monsoon,” says the bride. “Each design had sequin details, and the girls looked amazing.” MEMORABLE MOMENTS “On the morning of our nuptials, I felt excited and overwhelmed with joy,” explains Rebecca. “Everything was perfect from start to finish. We loved having all of our loved ones with us, and our first dance was magical.” HONEYMOON “We went to Venice and Lake Garda for a week,” reveals Rebecca. “It was the best holiday we’ve ever had and was extremely romantic.” TOP TIPS “Relax and make sure everything is exactly how you want it to be and don’t feel the need to conform to tradition.” - Rebecca.
