Your Surrey Wedding - Dec/Jan 2019 (Issue 80)

The Mercure Box Hill Burford Bridge Hotel is a hidden gem. It’s a beautiful structure, with wooden beams, lots of character and warmth. We’ve enjoyed some great family walks and bike rides there too. For the centrepieces, we chose antique cream lanterns framed with a ring of eucalyptus from To Have & To Hire Events. James and I had a two-tier cake that his mother kindly made for us. It was made up of fruitcake and sponge and was decorated with white icing and ribbons. We framed the bake with fresh eucalyptus leaves, posies of blue delphinium, gypsophila and hydrangeas from Flowers by Elaine. Our food was supplied by the Mercure Box Hill Burford Bridge Hotel. We had canapés, a four-course wedding breakfast and an evening buffet that disappeared pretty quickly! Our flowers were from Flowers by Elaine. We opted for hydrangeas, delphiniums, gypsophila, ruscus and eucalyptus. We decided to have round tables as we felt it was more sociable. Our table plan was displayed on a wooden easel and designed by our friends at Bmore. 44
