Our favours were tequila shots! We had a display with a sign ‘We’ve tied the knot, so take a shot!’, with miniature bottles of Blue Raspberry Tequila, Black Cherry Tequlia and Mango Tequila. Each bottle had a label with eucalyptus leaves to tie in with the theme. We also decorated the venue with tealight candles, and had a white gift box adorned with a eucalyptus design. All of the signage for the day matched the theme perfectly. We wanted a venue where the ceremony and reception could be in one place and this location had it all. The ceremony room was intimate, and the reception area was light and airy with a lovely outside seating area. We also didn’t want a traditional sit-down meal and opted for a later ceremony with an evening barbecue buffet for all guests during the reception. Our barbecue buffet was a great way of keeping the day moving and encouraged guests to dance and socialise. We went for silk white roses with eucalyptus as the foliage – my mum, the bridesmaids and the flowergirl had smaller bunches of white roses. My mum made a two-tier lemon cake decorated with buttercream, roses and eucalyptus. This was finished with a ‘Just married’ topper! To accompany this, we had some professionaly made vanilla cupcakes with green and white buttercream swirls to tie everything together and complement the larger bake. Our centrepieces were homemade; mirrors, with three vases of different heights filled with water and floating candles. Around this was eucalyptus with fairylights to perfectly tie in our green theme. 36
