The pair started out as friends, but the more they chatted, and the better they got to know each other, it became clear things were meant to be. Reuben had gone to great lengths to find out more about Holly, researching her likes and dislikes on Facebook. It was here he unearthed her favourite poem and gifted her a huge personalised chocolate bar with the verse on the back. It must be love! The pair didn’t want their colleagues to know about their blossoming romance so they dated in secret for almost a year. Reuben proposed on Christmas Day 2018, having placed the engagement ring under the tree. “I’m a bit of a geek and love anything to do with the royals,” Holly confides. “He chose a sapphire diamond ring for me, just like the one Kate Middleton has, which I love,” she tells us. The pair’s wedding plans, like so many others, were disrupted by the pandemic, but it eventually went ahead on 22 nd September, 2020.
