80 RETRO RIDES BUS AND BUG VINTAGE WEDDINGS 01403 865 080 | busandbugvintageweddings.co.uk Tell us about yourselves. Bus and Bug Vintage Weddings specialises in providing classic VW Campervans and Beetles for weddings across the South East. Who will be your passengers on the big day? Our vehicles are suited to the whole bridal party – everyone from the bride and her dad, to the bridesmaids or the groom's party. Our Campervans can seat between five to seven people, and the Beetles are more suited to the bride and dad, or mum, gran, granddad, then later the bride and groom. But there are no set rules when it comes to your transport. What wedding style do the vehicles lend themselves to? Campervans and Beetles are certainly less traditional and tend to fit in well with festival, barn, or rustic themes. Having said that, we really have done everything from church and marquee weddings, to golf club and registry office weddings. They never seem to look out of place. What are your top tips? Book early! We book up to two years in advance for popular summer dates. If you’re saying “I do” and holding your reception at the same venue, ask your chauffeur if they can take you on a short drive after the ceremony. So many couples say this is the only time they get to spend together to take it all in. MAPLE LEAF CARRIAGE COMPANY 01323 847 482 | mapleleafcarriages.com Tell us about yourself. Maple Leaf Carriage Company provides magnificent horse-drawn carriages to make your day even more memorable. On the day everything can feel completely manic, so slowing everything down with a gentle horse and carriage ride is a wonderful experience. We also offer couples the option to be picked up post-ceremony and taken on a short trip to give them a chance to relax and reflect, even if the vows and celebrations are all in one place. Who will be your passengers on the big day? We offer a variety of carriages, capable of seating up to 10, if the bride prefers to travel with her bridesmaids. Alternatively, we have a number of more traditional versions, which can carry up to four, transporting the bride and bridesmaids separately. We pride ourselves on being able to adapt to any budget and needs. What wedding style do the carriages lend themselves to? Horse and carriage is an incredibly romantic and traditional way of travelling. A lot of brides, and even grooms, come to me and say it’s a childhood fantasy of theirs to travel to their wedding in this way. It’s simply timeless. With a wide selection of carriages in different styles and beautifully groomed Friesian horses we provide a bespoke service. The blue or ivory paintwork will complement any theme, and we dress the carriages according to your wedding’s colour palette including plumes for the horses in a matching hue. Our carriages can be open or closed according to the weather or your personal preference. What are your top tips? Allow plenty of time. Bear in mind the horses travel at around four to five miles per hour, so a maximum six-mile round trip is best. Also, consider the route to your venue as we won’t be able to take you anywhere that involves main roads in order to guarantee everyone’s safety. CARRIED AWAY
