HOT TOPIC Our experts aim to set your mind at rest by tackling some common wedding worries WEDDING WORRIES #BESTDAYEVER We’re keen social media users and would love to be able to share pictures of our wedding day right away, but we know we’ve got to wait a while for our photographer to edit our images. Is there a solution? Hannah Tunnicliffe from Han Picked Memories (www.hanpickedmemories.co.uk) says: Yes, there is a great solution if you’d like to share high-quality photos and even videos the day after your wedding, and that’s hiring a wedding day content creator to be part of your wedding team! Planning a wedding is a commitment like no other, you enter a world only you and the close people around you discover together. Every single aspect of your wedding day has been brought to life through your hard work and dedication, so this absolutely needs to be documented and remembered forever. I’ve been capturing content for couples since 2023 and fully appreciate the effort that goes into planning a wedding. For me, no detail goes unnoticed, so the ultimate reward for all this hard work is to make sure it’s all captured and digitally stored safely to be able to look back on forever and remember the special memories from the day. As your wedding content creator, I can allow you to enjoy your day and be totally present in the moment, while I creatively capture your day using the latest iPhone and supporting tech equipment. You will wake up the next day as a newly married couple being able to look through an entire album full of beautifully captured moments. These will be raw, unedited photos and videos to share with loved ones and edit how you wish to be able to share on social media. Just knowing you’ve added this service onto your wedding day, gives you the peace of mind that your love story can be shared with your family and friends right away. With a content creator behind the scenes you’ll have memories that’ll never fade. www.cuttlebone.co.uk Jocelyn Allen on Unsplash RSVP TRAUMA What happens if we have guests drop out last minute? Is there anything we can do to plan for this eventuality? Jackie Levers from Cottesmore Hotel, Golf & Country Club (www.cottesmoregolf.co.uk) says: It’s always disappointing when one of your guests is unable to attend your wedding with very little notice given but if you have a plan in place, it may not be as stressful as you think. One option is to have a few evening guests on a reserve list that perhaps you can upgrade to a day guest should the need arise. Sometimes it’s only one person who is unable to attend, so this could be an evening guest that may be coming along on their own, or a couple that live in the local area. Have a few place cards in reserve that you can hand write a new name on. No one else will know if your table plan isn’t 100 per cent correct. Just let the new guest know who they’ll be replacing, as it may be too late to reprint it. If you’re unable to replace that guest, another idea is to feed one of your suppliers with the spare meal, such as your photographer or content creator. This is a great way for food not to go to waste and may save you paying for bar food. EXPERT ADVICE 57
