like wood-fired pizzas and gourmet street food, we give couples the opportunity to add finishing touches that make it personal. “From renaming pizzas to reflect your love story (the cheesier the better) to signage, toppings, or flavours that nod to special memories, there are lots of little ways to add meaning. It’s those details that turn great food into a great talking point! “We work closely with couples to make sure their menu reflects their story, whether it’s themed pizzas, bespoke street food combinations, or even matching flavours to a memory or holiday. Your wedding food should feel like you – quirky, classic, romantic, or spicy.” What food do we need to provide on the day aside from the wedding breakfast? “The wedding breakfast is often the centrepiece of the day, but keeping your guests fed at key moments throughout the celebration is essential for a smooth and enjoyable experience,” Nick tells us. “After the ceremony, most couples opt for canapés during the drinks reception. This keeps hunger at bay while you’re off having photos taken. Evening food is also a must, especially for weddings with dancing or a long gap between the meal and the evening party. This can range from informal street food to comforting classics like sliders, pizzas, or bacon butties. Some couples even go for themed food trucks or DIY stations, which add fun. Personally, I love our mini fish and chip newspaper cones, perfect food to soak up the alcohol! “Don’t forget about the bridal party and groomsmen earlier in the day, they often have long mornings and benefit from some snacks and nonalcoholic drinks (or Champagne) while getting ready. If you’re hosting guests over multiple days, consider offering breakfast or brunch the next morning – it’s a thoughtful touch and a great way to say goodbye.” Does evening food have to be a buffet? “Absolutely not and honestly, we don’t recommend it,” Steven answers. “Buffets can get messy fast, and let’s be honest: no one wants to leave the dancefloor just to queue for a plate of food. “We like to keep things fun, tidy, and on the move. That’s why we serve evening food canapé style, so your guests can keep dancing, chatting, or grabbing a drink without missing out on a bite to eat. “We also like to do it slightly differently. Think personalised monogrammed pizza boxes or custom fish and chip cones served straight to the bar or the dancefloor.” Fab Food For You Catering Circa Events © www.olivejoyphotography.co.uk Taste Caterer Vine & Dine © www.mattrockphotography.com Vine & Dine 50
