I was late even though I got ready at the venue! Plus, the groom and groomsmen had treated themselves to a game of golf before the wedding. The day’s highlight for Metz was seeing me for the first time that day at the top of the aisle. Our daughter had put some music together for the grand entrance and as I walked in everyone was up on their feet dancing and singing along. The atmosphere of fun was something we won’t forget. My bridesmaids wore grey, single-sleeve, ruched dresses. After trying on practically every dress in the shop I eventually found the one by Essence of Australia. I couldn’t get it out of my head. It had a beautiful leafy lace design and came in the colour biscotti. In true me style, I had to make it my own, so I had a few adjustments made including the addition of straps to match the belt. Metz isn’t one for standing out, so he wanted to match his groomsmen. All of the gents wore blue suits with dusky blue ties. We got married on a working farm and as we were saying our vows a cow mooed very loudly, which made everyone giggle. 36
