Your South Wales Wedding - March/April 2024 (Issue 96)

My dress was called Jin by Enzoani. I chose it because of the colour, the lace and the tiny pearls. I also wore a champagne-coloured dress in the evening from Goddiva. After leaving the house and getting half way down the road, my dad pointed out that I didn’t have my bouquet. We had to turn the wedding bus around and go back for it, making us half an hour late. It was quite funny because the neighbours had waved us off, so my dad was saying, “wrong day!” trying to be funny. James chose a dinner suit, which consisted of a navy velvet jacket, black trousers and a shirt with black buttons. We hired Los Gitanos Kings, an Andalusian band from London, to keep our guests entertained. They were amazing! They played our first dance song and all of our guests joined in. During the ceremony, my sister-in-law did a reading and my friend Hannah read a poem. It made the ceremony more personal and special for us and it was great to see our friends and family getting involved. We both felt nervous and excited, but we were so glad to finally be husband and wife after everything we’ve been through together. When we said our vows, it felt like no one else was in the room with us. REAL WEDDINGS 33
