Your South Wales Wedding - Page number 42 - May/June 2021 (Issue 79)

For the centrepieces, we chose log slices topped with pumpkins, handmade candle holders and pinecones. Jason and I chose a four tier bake with wooden-ef fect tree trunks provided by Bella Cakes. We opted for a cake-topper that was two a rmchairs with a pumpkin on each. The flowers were pussy willows, red berries and orange and white gerberas from Precious Petals Florist. The table plan was homemade from a wooden pallet and decorated with leaves and lights. Our wedding was supposed to be on Halloween, but because of COVID-19, it was postponed slightly. We kept our autumnal theme and incorporated pumpkins, leaves, twigs, log slices and pinecones. We had always wanted to get married in a church , and St Marys is beautiful. My cousin got married there, and we’ve loved it ever si nce. We looked at lots of reception venues around Wales, but none of them gave us th e feeling that we wanted. We eventually came across Pencoed House Estate and loved the rustic look and that it tied in with our autumn theme. 42
