15  REGIONAL VENUES Spotlight on... CARDIFF AND AROUND MANOR PARC, CF14 9UA 02920 693 723 | www.manorparc.com Manor Parc is an independent family-run venue with a long and interesting history. Built prior to 1850 as a country manor house, the property was called Y Parc and was home to a family of potato merchants. Y Parc was sold in 1917 to the Keen family and in 1984 became the Manor Parc Restaurant, which subsequently became Manor Parc in 1990. Since then the hotel has expanded its offerings and become a beautiful setting for weddings. Situated in acres of charming countryside, there are plenty of places to explore, including the on-site terraces, balconies and Cedar trees. There are also 200 free car parking spaces, 21 bedrooms, oak-flooring, a new outdoor seating area and a grand oak staircase. CELEBRATE IN STYLE Named after the orange shaped glass dome in the ceiling, The Orangerie is the hotel’s main restaurant. The light and airy space has a separate bar and benefits from its own terrace with glorious views across the city and Bristol Channel. The space can accommodate up to 110 guests for the ceremony and reception and 80 for the wedding breakfast. The Cedar Room overlooks two Cedar trees that predate the manor. This modern room was recently refurbished and has a neutral colour scheme that’s ideal for couples wanting to add personal touches. The light and airy space opens out onto the patio terrace and grounds where guests can dine al fresco or take photographs. It can hold up to 110 loved ones for the vows and meal and 160 for the evening celebration. WE LOVE... Couples will receive a complimentary suite on the night of the wedding and a discounted rate for the night before. www.ramphoto.co.uk www.ramphoto.co.uk
