Your South Wales Wedding - September/October 2020 (Issue 75)

Our proposal was a funny story which John likes to exaggerate for comedy, but he kept it honest in his speech. My mother also gave a short speech which was a lovely, unexpected touch. In the evening, we had a band called iRock perform. As a small touch, I requested they play songs from John’s favourite band, The Darkness, as a surprise. We had several guests approach us throughout the evening and tell us how much they loved the band and Megan Morris Harpist. We hired Megan Morris Harpist to play during the ceremony and had classic background music playing during the wedding breakfast. John and the groomsmen chose charcoal grey suits with ivory waistcoats from Dyfed Menswear. To make John stand out, he wore a rosebud knotted tie while the groomsmen opted for forest green versions. I wore a Ronald Joyce ballgown from White Orchid Bridal. I tried on lots of dresses, but I found this particular gown suited my style perfectly. I accessorised with a two-tier chapel-length veil, a silver diamanté necklace, earrings and ivory heels. The bridesmaids chose Alfred Sung green dresses from Samantha K’s. They accessorised with diamanté belts and sandals. REAL WEDDINGS 41 
