 A BYGONE ERA TALL JOHN’S WEDDINGS, LD3 7PX 01239 821 143 | www.talljohns.wedding Nestled amongst the rolling Welsh hills of the Brecon Beacons and just a stone’s throw from the Llangorse Lake sits the stunning Tall John’s House. The manor house was built to celebrate the demise of the Spanish Armada and has been hosting weddings since 1588. The property is located in private grounds with impressive lawns, mature trees and exceptional views across the valley. Couples looking to stay the night can choose from the Honeysuckle Cottage which sleeps eight on a self-catering basis or in The Cochmanns which is a sweet getaway for two. The Manor House can also hold 20 people on a staffed basis with breakfast included. CELEBRATE IN STYLE Ceremonies can take place in the restored Welsh barn. Looking across the Black Mountains, it has two enchanting courtyards. One of which hosts a wooden gazebo that can be decorated with flowers and used for ceremonies. The barn has underfloor heating, insulation, electric points, hard floors, integral toilets and a catering area. The team have created a light and airy space that retains the romance of the original building with slit windows, high beams and exposed brickwork. The space can cater for 160 guests, and the split level granary can accommodate 80 loved ones downstairs, with room for more people to stand in the gallery above. Those looking for a intimate space can say their vows in the Drawing Room, located inside the manor house, with up to 20 friends and family. WE LOVE... The hotel offers a breakfast basket the morning after the wedding. Tie the knot in a historic venue THEMED VENUES 21
