Your South Wales Wedding - November/December 2019 (Issue 70)

We’re both emotional, and I was worried that I’d get too upset during the vows, but once I’d walked down the aisle, I felt incredibly calm and enjoyed every moment. For our centrepieces, we chose tall glass vases that we placed on top of mirrors with beaded edges. We fell in love with Cottrell Park. The sweeping driveway, immaculate lawns and incredible view from the marquee were more than we could have asked for. The venue has two separate rooms for the ceremony and reception, which gave us lots of freedom to make the space our own. I wanted a romantic but glamorous theme with a blush pink and champagne colour scheme. Pete and I chose a three-tier sponge cake. We wanted to keep the design simple, so we chose ruffled icing and beautiful pink roses. Our flowers were large topiary arrangements brimming with soft pink and white peonies and roses. 36
