For my bouquet, I wanted the main element to be roses as it’s my middle name! Our cake was a stunning three-tiered bake with cascading flowers and gold accents. For the ceremony, we chose to get married in our local church, St John the Baptist, Llanblethian Church, located just down the road from us and my mum is actually the priest there! We wanted the theme of our wedding to be very grand and refined. We kept to classic colours with several gold accents throughout, to fit the royal theme. We wanted the room to feel grand when you walked in, so additional details like the light-up sign and top table floral runner really complemented the space. I knew from when I was a little girl that I wanted to get married in a castle, so we chose Hensol Castle as the setting of our reception. The stunning grounds and lake were magical, and the space outdoors was exactly what we had hoped for. The castle has lovely drawing rooms, a grand staircase, a courtyard and of course the stunning wedding breakfast room. To top it all off, the castle has incredible bedrooms for family and friends to stay in on the evening of the big day. For wedding favours, we chose personalised Welsh gin bottles, made at the distillery in Hensol Castle. Keeping on theme, we went for white floral arrangements throughout the venue. 36
