Firstly, a very big congratulations on your engagement! This time truly is a muddle of emotions, and as much as you’re bursting with happiness, it’s only natural to feel a little overwhelmed. My biggest tip is to try and write everything down, even if at first it seems scary, write down everything you want your special day to feel like, a to-do list and any venues or inspiration you may have. Get it all down on paper, and then start to organise it from there. By having it all laid out in front of you, it allows you a little more headspace! Try to prioritise what you would like to get done and give yourself small tasks each week, so it doesn’t feel like you have to do everything at once. By ticking things off your list, you will start to feel super productive and energised to do even more. The main thing to remember is to enjoy every single moment, it’s a special time and goes by in the blink of an eye, so try to embrace it. Do you have any suggestions? Whether you’re planning an upbeat, vibrant wedding or a more relaxed affair, a string quartet can adapt to any occasion. Here at Harmony String Quartet, we pride ourselves on having an extensive repertoire of more than 500 songs. We can provide a jukebox service where you and your guests pick songs on the day, or you can create your own bespoke playlist. Either way, you will hear some of your favourite tunes played as you’ve never heard them before. What should we do before booking? Your decision on any supplier should be based on your research and discussions with them. Have a look across their social media and websites to read past reviews and testimonials. Make sure the images belong to them and are not just stock pictures that look good! A decent supplier will want to talk to you to find out your ideas, offer suggestions and may even provide references so you can speak to a couple they have worked with before. A meet up before any event is a must, and ask to sample the fizz/wine. If they create a good first impression on you, then they will likely do the same for your guests on the big day.
