Your North West Wedding- February / March 2021 (Issue 66)

REAL WEDDINGS 29 cufflinks in the shape of an Airbus A320, which is the aeroplane he flys for work,” adds the bride. “It was the first Christmas present I ever bought him, and he always wears them on special occasions.” “My bridesmaids and flowergirls chose elegant navy blue dresses and fur shrugs from Ever Pretty,” explains Amanda. “I also surprised them with jewellery sets on the morning of the wedding and bottles of champagne to celebrate.” TIME TO CELEBRATE “To keep everyone entertained, we had a piano player during the drinks reception and a DJ for the evening reception,” shares Amanda. “For our first dance, we decided two days before the wedding to make up a routine to dance along to LOVE by Nat King Cole. Somehow, we managed to pull it off, and it will forever be one of our favourite moments of the day.” MEMORABLE MOMENTS “We were relaxed on the day and just enjoyed every moment,” Amanda shares. “It was so special getting married surrounded by our friends and family in a beautiful setting at the most wonderful time of the year.” Their photographer, Ladybirds Photography suggested taking confetti photos under the rotunda. “He organised for all the bridal party to go up onto the balcony and throw confetti down while we danced,” says the bride. “It was a magical moment, although I did get rather dizzy! During the drinks reception, he then persuaded us to get some wedding photos outside, even though it was slightly wet from the rain. It was so worth it as the photos of us in the pagoda are magical.” “I had planned for some sparkler photos in the evening, but when the time came, the sparklers had gone missing!” adds Amanda. “I had the whole Storrs Hall team hunting for them but to no avail until one of the staff found some leftover sparklers from a previous wedding and saved the day! I’m so glad they did as I love the pictures so much.” The couple had family joining them from all over the world. “Phil’s sister and her family were flying in the day before the wedding from France,” shares the bride. “However, French airstrikes meant that all flights were cancelled! That didn’t stop them, they all got in the car and drove 22 hours to make it in time for the wedding celebrations! It meant so much to us that they were there and it wouldn’t have been the same without them.” HONEYMOON “We flew first class to Thailand and enjoyed our honeymoon on a beautiful beach resort,” reveals the bride. “We spent some action-packed days white water rafting and snorkelling. Phil planned it all to perfection, and we were back home just in time to spend Christmas with our families.” 
