Your North West Wedding- February / March 2021 (Issue 66)

Our advice for couples planning their wedding is to remember that as long as you have your partner with you, your day will work out perfectly. Tradition is there for a reason, but small intimate weddings are lovely too! Try to adapt. Don’t fear the change and take advantage of the technology and resources we have today. REAL WEDDINGS Our wedding was very simple, mainly because we weren’t sure if the regulations would continue to change. We had entertainment from Musique Agency for our first dance. They were a complete hit and got us to sing along. We got engaged just after the pandemic hit and decided that due to the uncertainty of the situation, we wanted to go ahead with the wedding as soon as possible. We were very eager to state our commitment to the world. Technology has come a long way, so we decided to live stream our wedding so that we could share it with everyone we care about. We’re planning to have a big celebration back home with our friends and family that are still in Buenos Aires when things become more settled and international travel isn’t as difficult as it is today. A couple of days after our reception, one of the tables had to self isolate due to a track and trace notice from the NHS. One of our friends had gotten COVID-19 two days after the reception, and we all had to stay home. It gave us our own little honeymoon, where we got to design our photo book and spend our first few days of married life together. Happily, nobody in isolation got sick! 23 
