Located within a national park, the grounds are untouched and devoid of traffic, creating a peaceful oasis for weddings. The Lake House is on three levels with a grand entrance, six fabulous suites, a sweeping staircase, a large lounge scattered with sofas, armchairs and bookcases, floor-to-ceiling windows and log fires. There’s also a large conservatory overlooking the lake, traditional saunas, two outdoor hot tubs and a heated indoor pool that leads onto the gardens and lake. The house itself sits by a four-acre lake, which is home to a large collection of wild ducks, birds and red squirrels. Couples can walk to Cat Cragg from the grounds which offers 360-degree panoramic views of the Lake District, including the distant mountain ranges of Coniston and the Llangdales, where deers and birds of prey are frequently seen.
