Your North West Wedding- August/September 2020 (Issue 63)

All the latest from around the North West NEWS Nearlywed A PIECE OF HISTORY Visit Heritage (www.visitheritage.co.uk), on e of the UK’s leading heritage, tourism and destination marketing companies, has a stunning collection of wedding venues that are available to explore during the lockdown. Many venues have introduced virtual tours and consultations to ensure all your questions are answered. Our favourite is Victoria Baths in Manchester. Ideal for couples looking for something a bit different, this grand space is steeped in history and would give your guests something to remember. Get married in the deep end of the disused pool, have your drinks reception in the Turkish baths, followed by a breakfast and plenty of dancing. The company offers bespoke, alternative bentwood rings for brides and grooms. Owner and designer, Mark offers a large range of existing designs that are ready to be handcrafted to your specification and size. Alternatively, customers can commission a ring that’s more personal using materials that have a sentimental meaning or a fresh design of their own. Ammonite Studio had a strong focus on the environment and has recently partnered with The One Tree Planted organisation (www.onetreeplanted.org) m eaning that for every ring purchased a single tree will be planted. Seating tables of up to four or six in the private dining room, the restaurant is open Wednesday to Sunday with an eight- course meal available for dinner and a four-course menu for lunch. The seven luxurious bedrooms are also available for guests looking for an overnight stay. Chef, Mark Birchall, told us: “The last few months have been incredibly challenging, as they have been for the rest of our industry. Our entire business is built on the loyalty and devotion of our team, suppliers and guests. I’m thrilled that we are once again able to work with our favourite small businesses, artisans and farms that are so crucial to what we do at Moor Hall, and start welcoming back our guests once more. Support from guests has been overwhelming during this period who have expressed a longing to return to our restaurants. Central to our reopening strategy are plans for how we will keep these guests safe, and we have introduced several measures to ensure that we can do so. I have the utmost confidence that our team can learn from the challenges the virus has presented and that we will continue to offer the unrivalled level of service and quality for which we’re renowned.” Head over to www.moorhall.com fo r more information. 8
