Our experts solve your problems PETS AT WEDDINGS Q – We want our beloved dog to be involved in our wedding, but we’re not sure how to transport him or who will care for him on the day. Do you have any suggestions? Here at Thea’s Lakeland Walks, we safely transport dogs to ceremonies, photographs and accommodation, if overnight boarding isn’t required. There are lots of options available, think about if you want your furry companion to be part of the bridal or grooms party? Is he or she going to be a ring bearer? Do you need a floral collar for the photographs? Lots of companies offer full daycare, half daycare and overnight boarding. Check if they have a licence, this will give you peace of mind that your pet is going to be well cared for. It’s also worth checking if they are trained in first aid. We are two of only 10 people in the North West with an advanced first aid qualification. Do you have any ideas? This depends on your colour scheme, but I find classic whites and greens create a strong impression. Flowers that work particularly well in floral arches are roses. Look for the traditional ivory option or versions like Rosalind, secret garden or David Austin roses. These paired with hydrangeas, astilbes, Jasmine and clematis will look stunning. Frothy white foliage, moss and verdant greenery make luscious wedding arches. An arch works best at large scale venues but could overpower a more modest church. It’s much more impactful to create an oversized design rather than a delicate centrepiece. This will create an immediate wow factor as you walk in for the wedding breakfast.
