Your North West Wedding- June/July 2020 (Issue 62)

32 David opted for a brown tweed suit and bow tie from Marc Darcy. The bridesmaids chose dusky pink gowns from Monsoon. “They were all different to reflect their personal styles,” explains the bride. “We also put flowers in their hair which looked lovely.” TIME TO CELEB A TE “To keep our guests entertained, we wanted a disco,” adds Maria. “We chose ’80s tunes which everyone loved. It was a brilliant day, and we even managed to have drinks outside, it was amazing.” MEMO A BLE MOMENTS “Dave felt giddy and very emotional on the morning of the wedding,” shares the bride. “I felt so excited, it was kind of surreal, as it was everything I’d ever imagined. It’s true what they say, it goes by too fast! The ceremony was great, and the owner of the venue got us to do a pre-wedding shot. I’d never done a shot with my dad before! It was definitely needed.” The happy couple’s loved ones made the day even more special. “Our day couldn’t have happened without the expertise of all our suppliers,” adds Maria. “On the day, my dad’s partner, Mary, and my best friend, Emma, saved me from having a meltdown by organising last minute bits and pieces. They were absolutely amazing, and we can’t thank them enough.” HONEYMOON “We had two honeymoons,” explains the bride. “We went to Greece for two weeks in July and a few days in Italy in October. We had a blast!”
