The large white house along with the Orangery sits elegantly on the shores of Lake Windermere in more than 30 acres of grounds. Guests can arrive by boat and experience the beautiful listed gardens, which are lovingly kept to reflect the history of the property. Inside, couples will find original panelled walls, a classic staircase, solid wood floors, a relaxing bar and lounge area with a log burner, cosy sofas and stunning views. CELEBRATE IN STYLE Ceremonies can take place in The Orangery, which boasts a glass roof and houses an ancient vine. Alternatively, the Claife Room, The Gaddum Gallery or the Langdale Room can be used. Receptions take place in The Gaddum Lounge and Restaurant. Lovingly restored, the space has marbled tables, hand-crafted furniture, a grand fireplace and a large window highlighting a beautiful magnolia tree. It’s capable of holding 40 guests and can be combined with The Orangery to hold 55. WE LOVE... The food and that Beatrix Potter used to frequent the house with her niece and family. Hundith Hill Hotel is a beautiful venue that boasts landscaped grounds, a tree-lined driveway and striking views of the surrounding countryside. The grand exterior was constructed using local sandstone and Lakeland slate roofing, which looks stunning in those all-important photographs. Inside, there is a mixture of classic and modern bedrooms for guests to choose from, a bar and impressive views. CELEBRATE IN STYLE Couples can tie the knot in the Dining Room. Alternatively, the Wallace Suite can be used. This large open space provides panoramic views of the Lorton Valley and can accommodate 100 friends and family for the service, 160 for the sit-down meal and 200 for the evening celebration. Al fresco nuptials take place in the Pergola. Situated in the middle of the main lawn, it provides a great backdrop of local fells and can hold 50 guests for the ceremony. WE LOVE...
