Your North West Wedding - Dec/Jan 2019 (Issue 59)

The ethos behind the fair is to promote not only the local suppliers, but also the Lake District as a destination for your wedding celebrations. The organisers are once again working in association with Cumbria Tourism, who are working hard to promote the event and it’s exhibitors. The Fair is also supported by the Cumbrian Registrars and you will be able to meet the team in February to discuss everything that you need to prepare and have ready for your big day. One of the most important single elements of any Wedding Fair is the Fashion Show and once again, some of the best suppliers are working together to put on a daily show. Bridal gowns, menswear and children’s wear will be showcased by Eden Wedding Boutique and A Family Affair. Make Up will be by Blusch Makeup Artistry, Definitions Mobile Beauty and Tropic Skincare, Hair will be by Love & Hair Bridal. Hosting the show will be Wedding Planner Annabel Candler, and room theming and decoration will be by Emma Jane Events. For information on booking your seats (numbers are limited) and how to contact the suppliers please visit www.lakedistrictweddingfair.co.uk/ the-look-catwalk-show This year, the organisers are looking at weddings from a slightly different angle, and will be advising exhibitors and visitors on how they can potentially make their celebration more environmentally friendly and sustainable. The Lake District Wedding Fair Eco Zone is being supported by CAfS (Cumbria Action for Sustainability) and The Lake District Foundation, with both agencies working hard to promote the idea of sustainability and awareness when planning a wedding. Exhibitors who are part of the Eco Zone will have passed certain criteria set by the organisers and will be advertising the fact that they are now doing their bit for the region.
