Your North West Wedding - Dec/Jan 2019 (Issue 59)

Festive favourites We’re having a winter wedding and would like to incorporate our theme into our cake. Do you have any suggestions? ❤ A white-on-white cake would look elegant and tie in with your theme. Add white textures and a bit of sparkle to create a glistening showstopper. ❤ If you want to create a frosty feel, incorporate edible silver or white sprinkles. ❤ Strong hues are bang on-trend right now. Opt for a rich red or navy blue design decorated with light-coloured sugar flowers. ❤ Flavours are also a great way of incorporating your festive theme. Peppermint and gingerbread are great examples that can be used in several of your tiers. We’re not the best posers but would love a few snaps in the venue’s wintry grounds. What would you suggest we do? I hear this question a lot, so don’t worry, you’re not alone. Most people are nervous in front of the camera, myself included. The best advice I can give, speaking from my own experience and working with numerous shy couples, is to find a photographer who you’re comfortable with. Having a friendly and honest relationship is a huge part of the service a photographer should offer. Knowing what your likes and dislikes are is also incredibly important, and it means you’ll feel comfortable enough to tell your photographer when you’ve had enough and need a break. Do you have any suggestions? ❤ December is one of my favourite times of year and is perfect for weddings. Quality car suppliers will work with you to ensure your transport fits in with your theme. You could organise a detour near some Christmas lights or stunning scenery to add a touch of winter magic. ❤ Classic cars are popular this time of year. It screams traditional, and whether you choose a Grand Tourer of the 1920s or a limousine from the 1930s or 40s, it all nods to an era of style and luxury. ❤ Christmas is all about sparkle, silver, chrome and glamour. Don’t be afraid to embrace it and above all have a fantastic day! Emma Buckley Transport Specialist malvernweddingcars.co.uk 64
