Your North West Wedding - Jun/Jul 2019 (Issue 56)

We decorated the space with more than 40 paper lanterns. The result looked great and tied our theme together. A young person from our church painted our welcome sign on a canvas. Our tables were named after places that have special meanings to us. We included a toy or figurine of each landmark, including a plush deer to represent Tatton Park. Tim and I decided to tie the knot at Crossgate Church in Preston. I teach a youth group there and wanted to get all the kids involved. They helped us to set up the decorations, paint signs and even handed out the confetti. For our reception, we booked Arkholme Village Hall. It’s a beautiful space with a blank canvas and stunning views of the rolling hills. The day went better than we ever could have imagined. We loved having everyone in one room and felt incredibly blessed. For our cake, we chose a three-tier creation from my sister-in-law’s business, Bring Me Cupcakes. It was made up of lemon drizzle, white chocolate, orange and cranberry. 38
