ST MARY’S HERITAGE CENTRE 01914 334 699 | www.gateshead.gov.uk/ stmarysheritagecentre Formally a Medieval church, St Mary’s Heritage Centre is fully restored to showcase the original beauty of the stonework and pillars, with a blend of modern improvements. The light oak hardwood floor and large glass panels tie together the architecture of this historic building. Surrounding the building is a Grade I listed graveyard featuring ornate and ancient gravestones and a beautiful war memorial garden. This impressive structure features an illuminated clock face on the bell tower and Norman stoned mullioned windows – the entrance archways are striking walls of plate glass. As the Quayside comes to life at night and the bridges across the Tyne get illuminated, St Mary’s Heritage Centre offers a spectacular vantage point from which to absorb the atmosphere. Available for receptions only, the Main Hall offers a grand, light and special wedding space with plenty of character. Lined with pillars, arches and tall windows with ample natural light, it accommodates up to 110 guests for a banquet reception or 140 for a more informal layout or evening reception. The Chancel is a smaller adjacent area which provides additional reception space or bar area for up to 50 guests. This beautiful building needs very little decoration to add to the grandeur of the premises and offers flexible options on catering, bar and venue styling. Staff will advise lovebirds on how to add some special touches and décor to personalise the space and contacts for local suppliers. www.jam iemacphotography.com www.jam iemacphotography.com 18
