There are a few things to take into account when looking for the perfect foundation to suit your skin. It’s hard to work from recommendations as everyone’s skin type is different and foundations come with multiple levels of coverage with different finishes.  First of all, you’ll need to look at how you’d like the make-up to look on your skin, a light coverage foundation will help even out your complexion allowing your natural skin to still show through. A full coverage one will hide all imperfections, cover any freckles and pigmentation on the skin. A medium coverage is somewhere in between the two. Next, you need to look at your skin type – if you have oily skin an oil free foundation will be more beneficial, and you may need a long- lasting foundation to help keep your coverage for longer. For drier skin, a moisturising one will be key. Finally, you need to decide on what kind of finish you’d like. This can vary from a matte, natural or a dewy finish. Once you have an understanding of these three areas, it will make it easier looking for the perfect foundation whether that be online or at a beauty counter.  Melissa Carlile | All Dolled Up | www.make-upbymelissa.com www.sav inlondon.com
