Your North East Wedding - Jan/Feb 2020 (Issue 36)

Our cake was a three-tier silver and white design with a world theme. Everything about it was beautiful – not to mention its delicious flavours of fruit, chocolate and vanilla! We decorated our tables with sparkly tablecloths, complete with candles sticks on small round mirrors and smaller candles in votives. My dad also upcycled an old bicycle and turned it in to a welcome sign for when the guests arrived. For my wedding bouquet I chose cream roses with a small diamanté in the middle of each one. We also complemented this with white flowers for the bridesmaids and flower girl cases, as well as white roses to decorate the church. My three bridesmaids Helen, Debbie and Lucy wore gorgeous Mori Lee dresses. It was difficult at first to find a dress that suited all their body shapes – I’m so glad we found this design! We hired two classic cars for the day, a 1936 Austin York seven-seater, and a 1933 Hillman Wizard four-seater. As soon as I saw them when searching for our wedding transport I knew they’d be perfect.
