Our centrepieces were elegantly simple, featuring sage green table runners paired with tall candlesticks in silver holders. On either side, we placed lovely glass vases filled with white artificial flowers. To incorporate our son Oakley into the day, we gave Sands charity badges as favours, attached to handmade cards with a heartfelt note in his memory. I designed these to have a rustic feel, complementing the overall theme and venue. The day flew by! While I felt a bit overwhelmed and tired due to the long hours, I also experienced the happiest moments of my life. The bridal party donned A-line, floor-length chiffon dresses in a lovely sage green, which we ordered online from JJ’s House. They were surprisingly affordable yet of excellent quality. The girls accessorised their outfits with silver heels and jewellery. The venue offered a fantastic selection of food. We enjoyed a three-course meal, which also included tea and bread. We kept the table numbers straightforward, using clear acrylic stands to maintain a clean and elegant look. Our photographer, Sarah, played a huge role in making our day memorable! I’m not the most comfortable in front of the camera, especially when it comes to posing. However, Sarah made everything feel so effortless and natural, allowing us to relax completely. She was amazing and so friendly. 30
