Your London Wedding - March/April 2024 (Issue 94)

place settings. Roxanne at Hartfelt London put together the centrepieces. The newlyweds sent her their Pinterest board of inspiration, and she truly brought their vision to life. The team exceeded the couple’s expectations and couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out. To keep guests from going hungry, The Westow prepared the lunch portion of the reception, while The Adobros catered the evening reception, incorporating Filipino food, as Trish’s family is from the Philippines. The couple had a beautiful three-tiered cake, with each tier consisting of a different flavour—red velvet, coffee, and chocolate. It was made by Saneeha, a local South London baker at 4S Cakes. As the wedding took place on King Charles’ Coronation Day, the pair handed out gold crowns for guests to wear during the cake cutting. The personalised neon signs for the reception entrance and the top table, which the pair can’t wait to install at home, added a fun touch to the day! MEMORABLE MOMENTS It really hit home what was about to happen after Tom was fully dressed; he was eager and impatient to get to Brown & Green. He had no doubts, cold feet, nerves or anything like that. He just felt ready to marry his best friend and the love of his life. The day felt surreal for Trish! She says, “Walking into Brown & Green, seeing it transformed into a page out of our Pinterest board while all our loved ones there are just watching you was a crazy moment I will never forget. When I finally caught my breath and held back the tears, taking that all in, I marched forward to see my handsome husband waiting for me at the top of the aisle, all smiles – I just felt blessed and thrilled.” Tom was blown away when he first saw his beautiful bride. He comments, “I thought she looked absolutely stunning! I couldn’t keep my eyes off her as she walked down the aisle and when she joined me at the front with the registrars, she had to stop me from trying to kiss her before we’d said our vows! At that moment, I felt happier than ever because the time had come for us to become husband and wife.” Surprisingly, the pair never seemed nervous or stressed out about anything. Trish says, “I remember my sister being afraid to break the news to me while I was having hair and make-up done that it had started to rain. A few other hiccups happened throughout the day, but we didn’t let anything get to us. Everyone we loved was there for us that night, and we wanted to be present for every second of it. “There were so many special moments, but our favourites were listening to the best man and maid-of-honour speeches, which were thoughtful, funny and touching. There were lovely moments throughout the day like listening to my dad serenading us with Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley, and dancing with our parents to the band singing In My Life by The Beatles. Tom and I closed out the night with the very last song, Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now by Starship, which was so special as everyone sang along with the choruses!” The music portion of the wedding was significant to the couple. During the wedding ceremony, a violinist named Tara Dudhill performed and enhanced those special moments. During the reception, a fantastic live band named The Paris Ruel followed by DJ Isaac had everyone dancing until the end. HONEYMOON After both being off for two weeks for the wedding, the couple only had a mini-moon to Paris and Lourdes to join Trish’s family on a trip that had been planned before the couple were even engaged. After a few days in France, they headed off to The Ritz-Carlton in the Canary Islands for a few days of sun. They hope to plan a longer, proper honeymoon to Asia when possible. 34
