Your London Wedding - Page number 91 - May/June 2021 (Issue 77)

SMALL, BUT PERFECTLY FORMED Q We’ve opted to tie the knot as soon as possible with an intimate wedding. How do we ensure this is just as special as a larger celebration? This will still be your wedding day, so no matter what the size of the event, you should still make it amazing and special. Remember, your pictures will give you everlasting memories of the day, so make sure you dress the venue to reflect you and your partner. I would recommend imagining how you would style your day if it was a larger celebration, but bring it down to a smaller scale. For example, if the rustic theme is for you, then why not use long wooden tables for your intimate guest list, lanterns and abundant greenery and foliage? Add in smaller rose garlands, hessian table runners and chair sashes to complete the look. Small weddings can still be big on styling details. Natalee Moona | Chaircovers by Ziora www.facebook.com/chaircoversbyziora #OOTD Q With ever-changing restrictions, I’m not sure what style of dress to get as I don’t know if we’ll be having a small meal or huge party. What do you suggest? Firstly, you should wear whatever you feel happiest in, regardless of setting. You are the bride, so it’s basically impossible for you to be overdressed! That said, we have totally fallen for bridal separates recently and they offer the perfect solution to this issue. By mixing and matching complementary pieces, you can change the vibe of your look from day to night, or from an intimate registry office do to a massive party. It means you don’t have to spend on two totally new outfits, but you can be more flexible with your look. Our silk crepe Santorini slip dress would look cool with a pair of boots and our jacquard biker jacket or Cloudshine t-shirt for a small, informal do. You can then keep the same slip dress but pair it with a dramatic skirt if you then discover you’re able to go ahead with a bigger party – helping you make the most of swirling around on the dancefloor! You can also use accessories to switch up your outfit; adding a floor-length veil or cape is a great way of transforming a simple dress into a real statement for a larger gathering.
