Your London Wedding - November/December 2020 (Issue 74)

Dark and rich https://ama ndaaustinflowers.co.uk “A dark, romantic palette adds richness and depth for a stunning winter wedding. I’d choose hot chocolate roses as the focal point, together with bold chrysanthemums, tulips and delicate ranunculi in burgundy and deep purple hues. Adding silvery eucalyptus, accents of white anemones and draping fruits and berries on the tables will add drama.” – Nikki Rodgers, Cherry Tree Way “This makes me think of atmospheric weddings in castles and stately homes, with that dark and rich feeling. I’d use roses, dried flowers and fruits and lots greenery all in a burgundy and green palette. It gives a Medieval wintry vibe, which I love!” – Natasha Pavlou, Meadows Florist “I’d mix things up to create visual interest and texture. Using candlelight and richly coloured blooms, you’ll get the dreamiest and sultriest vibes. Think dark hellebores and velvety roses with lush green foliage and seasonal berries. This would look amazing for everything from an intimate dining table through to a lush banquet with statement arrangements and floral chandeliers.” – Ruth Donoghue- Evans, Mimi Fleur “For this theme, I’d go for foliage and more foliage! I’d incorporate forest green foliage, burgundy smoke bush and red burning bush with cinerea brown eucalyptus. I’d then build the design by adding dark florals such as roses, snakeshead fritillaries, orchids, double hellebores and astrantia. This creates a moody yet romantic look. For bouquets, I also like to embellish with ribbons in the darkest floral colour used.” – Bilen Zeremariam, Queen of Hearts Floral Design “You can use tones such as pale pink, mocha, burgundy, green and peach; although some of these shades are summery, when you mix them with wintry colours they really complement each other, creating a soft colour scheme with a warm feel. Display florals in lots of different vases on various levels for added interest, but not to obstruct your guests at the table.” – Toby B Roberts, TBR Floral Design CONTACT OUR EXPERTS: Amanda Austin | Amanda Austin Flowers | https://amandaaustinflowers.co.uk Nikki Rodgers | Cherry Tree Way | www.cherrytreeway.com Natasha Pavlou | Meadows Florist | www.meadowsflorist.co.uk Ruth Donoghue-Evans | Mimi Fleur | www.mimifleur.co.uk Bilen Zeremariam | Queen of Hearts Floral Design | www.queenofheartsfloraldesign.com Toby B Roberts | TBR Floral Design | www.tbrfloraldesign.co.uk www.mea dowsflorist.co.uk www.mim ifleur.co.uk | http://fleu rchallis photography.com www.tbrfloraldesign.co.uk FLOWERS 55
