HACKNEY TOWN HALL 020 8356 5505 | www.hackneyvenues.com WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? Having recently undergone a multi-million-pound refurbishment, this Grade II listed building’s Art Deco- style interiors are not to be missed. Imagine polished woodwork, chandeliers and state-of-the-art glass-roofed atria. The venue boasts five event spaces, beautifully blending modern and period features. LET’S CELEBRATE! The light-flooded North Atria (200 guests) is the largest space available for ceremonies. Meanwhile, more intimate parties of between 100 and 148 people can opt for the wood-panelled Committee Room or the Council Chamber. Alternatively, the Assembly Hall can be partitioned to seat 120 loved ones. The largest capacity for receptions is 550 people. Couples can opt for either the Assembly Hall, which offers a private entrance and a large dance floor, or in the North Atria or South Atria. WE LOVE… The North Atria gives the feeling of being outside, whatever the weather. WEDDINGS AT QUEEN MARY 020 7882 8176 | www.qmul.ac.uk/weddings WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? Opened by Queen Victoria in 1887, this Grade II listed building was once known as the Albert Hall of East London. Built in Neo- Classical style with columns and a portico, visitors step inside to find an atmospheric space with book-lined walls and busts of eminent authors under a beautiful domed ceiling. Parties can spill outside to enjoy the Queen’s Lawn and its Victorian clocktower, as well as the Regent’s Canal running alongside. LET’S CELEBRATE! Intimate ceremonies are held in the Senior Common Room (100 guests), an exclusive-use private member’s club. For a more opulent celebration, The Octagon is the perfect choice. The former university library, its domed ceiling reaches three storeys high and the endless books provide a wonderful backdrop for photos. WE LOVE… Soon-to-be-weds will receive a free menu tasting, and the venue has recently launched virtual tours. https://rebeccagoddardphotography.com 30
