Opposites Laurie and Pete chose contrasting venues to showcase London’s characterful architecture Images courtesy of Berni Palumbo H aving met Pete while enjoying coffee with friends by the canal, Laurie and Pete bonded over their shared love of running and the rest, as they say, is history with Pete booking a surprise trip to Ibiza to pop the question to Laurie. “He proposed in a beautiful restaurant by the Mediterranean sea on a gorgeous afternoon,” Laurie reveals. The couple decided to tie the knot in London, falling instantly for the Art Deco detail and traditional feel of Islington Town Hall as they began their venue search. With the ceremony venue in the bag, Laurie and Pete then looked for a reception venue that would both complement and provide contrast and the West Reservoir Centre delivered just that with its industrial feel and original features.
