Your London Wedding - September/October 2025 (Issue 103)

ALL AROUND Love Dean and Hannah created an elegant city wedding full of classic touches with the help from the experts Images courtesy of Rose Rae Photography Dean and Hannah planned their wedding with one clear intention: to keep it intimate, relaxed, and meaningful. Their guest list was thoughtfully curated, with twenty-six people attending the ceremony, with sixty more joining for the evening celebration. It was a day built around connection, simplicity, and personal touches. SETTING THE SCENE The ceremony took place at Old Marylebone Town Hall, a venue the couple chose the moment they walked through its doors. “The building is stunning, rich in history, and the staff were lovely and friendly,” Hannah shares. “No other venue could compare.” The elegant architecture and welcoming team created the perfect setting. For the styling, Hannah and Dean leaned into a minimalist black-and-white theme with soft, modern accents. Two long tables were set for the wedding breakfast, dressed with white runners, bud vases filled with gypsophila, carnations, and chrysanthemums, and white taper candles tied with black bows. With a small group, they skipped a formal table plan and instead created hand-crafted name cards and personalised menus tied with ribbon. The bride’s creativity was seen throughout the day. She designed all the stationery, including their A1 welcome sign, and even arranged a custom heart-shaped balloon printed with their names and wedding date. The cake mirrored their theme, heartshaped, classic white, with a “Just Married” topper. Transport to the venue had a special, sentimental twist. “My Dad arranged for a beautiful, traditional white Fairway taxi that was decorated with a white bow and flowers, to collect us from the Holmes Hotel,” Hannah recalls. It was a heartfelt gesture that set the tone for a day full of warmth and thoughtfulness. The bride’s bridal outfit was a bold and modern choice. She wore the Charlotte suit by Nadine Merabi, a pearl-detailed ensemble that perfectly captured her city-chic vision. “I always knew I wanted to wear a suit rather than a dress,” Hannah says. “The pearl detail made it feel more special and bridal.” A Jennifer Behr headband added glamour in place of a traditional veil, and she completed the look with a pearlescent Mango handbag and pearl-accented heels from Charles & Keith. The bride also carried meaningful touches from her family. Her something old was her nan’s handkerchief, her something borrowed was her mother’s pearl necklace, and her something blue came from a ribbon tied around her bouquet. A Parachute Regiment patch from her grandfather added an emotional layer to the look. Seeing everything come together that morning gave Hannah a huge confidence boost. Dean’s outfit complemented Hannah’s effortlessly. He wore a stone-coloured double-breasted suit from Reiss, a crisp Ralph Lauren shirt, and white trainers from Jones Bootmaker. “He looked fantastic, and the outfit perfectly matched his personal style,” says Hannah. “It complemented my city-chic vision beautifully.” For entertainment, the couple created a curated Spotify playlist filled with their favourite tracks, from funk and soul to sentimental family favourites. “We added some of our parents’ favourite songs, which made the evening extra special and helped create wonderful memories,” Hannah noted. Guests danced and celebrated in a laid-back atmosphere that reflected the couple’s personalities. Though both felt nervous before the ceremony, the staff at Old Marylebone Town Hall quickly put them at ease. For the couple, this moment stood out as the most meaningful part of the day. Speeches from Hannah’s dad and Dean’s best men brought both laughter and tears, adding emotional depth to the celebration. The couple’s wedding was everything they hoped it would be – stylish yet simple, personal yet unfussy, and full of love. It was a day that truly reflected who they are: modern, thoughtful, and deeply connected to the people around them. REAL WEDDINGS 23
