My dress was from Caroline Castigliano in Knightsbridge. I had a few other appointments booked to explore different styles, but I found the one right there. I called my mum and asked her to get on a train to London that weekend to see it. The dress was classic and timeless, made from the most beautiful fabric. It made me feel incredible! We had the wonderful Sorsha Seven sing during the ceremony, and a string quartet – Chiqas Music – performed during the drinks reception. They were so good that we even went to see them again at an intimate concert later that year. The ceremony itself was incredibly special. We’d been in planning mode for so long, and suddenly we were standing there, saying our vows in front of our closest loved ones. A highlight was having our brothers present the rings. The Chelsea Old Town Hall was a natural choice. It’s our local registry office and somewhere we pass often on walks. While the smaller rooms are typically used for short, 30-minute ceremonies, we found out the larger rooms are available for most of the day. Meaning, our florist and groomsmen could set up in the morning, and guests were free to arrive early, mingle and catch up. Our biggest priority was to choose a location that my grandma could easily attend, and a reception venue that allowed our dachshund, Louis. The bridesmaids looked stunning in navy satin halter-neck dresses from ASOS. There was a moment of pre-ceremony chaos. My dad, bridesmaids and I arrived early and were taken to a side room by a security guard. When I came out for my interview with the registrar, there was a bit of panic—no one could find my dad! The registrar had to announce to the guests that we were having trouble locating him… though he was just quietly waiting in that room the whole time, totally unaware. We ended up having to rush down the corridor in a bit of a frenzy! 35 REAL WEDDINGS
