RESTAURANT 020 3840 9861 | https://mountstrestaurant.com/curious-rooms Situated in a grand Victorian building at the intersection of Mayfair’s Mount Street and South Audley Street, The Audley offers guests a variety of distinct experiences. It features The Audley Public House, a traditional London pub on the street level, and Mount St. Restaurant, a modern dining space on the first floor. The upper floors house four beautifully designed rooms, each with its own unique story, available for private hire. The Venetian-inspired Italian Rooms, located on the second floor, feature a private dining room for up to 12 guests and a separate bar area for pre-or post-dinner drinks. Adorned with Italian artworks, including Chirico’s La Muse, these rooms boast marble floors and intricately carved wooden doors. Also on the second floor is the Swiss Room, which pays homage to Switzerland’s rich art and design heritage. Its standout feature is a sycamore wood floor, hand-stained to resemble a watercolour painting. This elegant room includes lacquer panelling, vintage chairs by Guhl, and artwork by Swiss artists like Hans Josephsohn. It accommodates 14 guests and offers views of Mount Street and South Audley Street. The Scottish Room, the largest private space at The Audley, is located on the third floor and can seat up to 28 guests. Its design draws inspiration from the Scottish Highlands, featuring a striking antler chandelier, custom tartan by Araminta Campbell, and a bespoke ninemeter table hand-carved from Scottish oak. The room also displays historical objects sourced from The Fife Arms’ collection, adding a touch of heritage to the atmosphere. At the top of The Audley, the intimate Games Room provides a cosy, secluded atmosphere. Nestled in the turret, it features a private bar, a card table and lounge seating, all set against dark, moody décor and warm golden lighting. A custom rug designed by Luis Laplace pays homage to artist Louise Bourgeois, while the ceiling showcases a painted work by artist Anj Smith. This charming room is perfect for small, private gatherings, seating up to 19 guests. Each room at The Audley promises an unforgettable experience, blending rich history, stunning art and exceptional dining for occasions. https://amatya.co.uk QUIRKY VENUES 27
