The beautiful lawn is a wonderful location for a glass of bubbly following the ceremony. There are also some terrific photo opportunities on the romantic wooden bridge, which is built over a cobble garden and set among some stunning landscaping, with a view of the orchards, woodland and rolling fields beyond. The venue offers a fine-dining experience, with a menu created from fresh and locally sourced ingredients for traditional three- course wedding breakfasts through to barbecues and hog roasts. You have a choice of two wonderful outside areas to say “I do.” The Topiary Garden Gazebo is surrounded by the beautiful gardens and can play host to 200 loved ones, and the Orchard Garden Gazebo, with space for 100 of your nearest and dearest, can be found among the orchards and natural woodland. Both of these spaces are backed up by an indoor area if the weather takes a turn for the worse. The venue also offers twilight ceremonies, which are held in the newly converted Apple Barn, with the option to use a gazebo for an outdoor ceremony in the pretty courtyard. Vows are at 5.30pm followed by the evening celebrations. Blessed with beautifully ornate period features and décor, the venue offers three reception rooms and a generous three-room bridal suite for use on your bespoke big day. Situated in the atmospheric original part of the house, dating from the 15 th - century, there’s also the three-storey guest accommodation, where your loved ones can relax after a long day of celebrations or even make a weekend of it. Set at the end of a long driveway that sweeps through 100 acres of National Trust estate and parkland, the house is surrounded by its own prettily planted formal gardens and lawns, perfect for drinks receptions and al fresco ceremonies. A delightful walled rose garden and a wildflower meadow, along with orchards and ponds are all just waiting for you to discover. Ceremonies for up to 60 guests can take place either in the ornate Yellow Room or on the main lawn, onto which the room’s French doors open. Outdoor “I dos” on the formal lawns can seat 140. Drinks receptions are held in the Georgian reception rooms of the main house and in the beautiful formal gardens. This is followed by the wedding breakfast and evening entertainment, both of which are hosted in the luxury canvas-pole marquee located on the rear lawn with capacity for 180.
