Your Kent Wedding -November/December 2020 (Issue 93)

The venue staff made our wedding so relaxed that we both had time to enjoy it without worrying. Also, our photographer, Camilla, was a pleasure. We both wanted the natural moments captured, and she was able to suggest photo opportunities we’d never have thought of, which made stunning additions to our album. We provided a wide range of music from 80s hits to classical to reflect the relaxed atmosphere we wanted for the evening. Following the reception everyone was invited back to our house for the evening celebrations, which was just a five- minute walk from the venue. It was a great opportunity to relax with friends and family. We sat down with the venue’s caterers and discussed food suggestions. We had a wide range of guests, so wanted to ensure there was something everyone could enjoy. We sent out our menu options months prior to the big day so that people could make their choices. As a combination of place names and favours, we had napkin rings made from wood and engraved with each guests’ name on one side, with our names and ceremony date on the other. Our wedding cake was a gift from a friend and professional baker. It was a lemon sponge with lemon buttercream, and I made the icing roses to decorate it, while Wayne arranged the topper. The cake was amazing and made for a spectacular centrepiece. REAL WEDDINGS 51 
