NETTLESTEAD PLACE 01622 328 328 | www.nettlestead-place.co.uk Nettlestead Place takes the breath away as you approach the Grade I listed manor via the beautiful 14 th - century gatehouse. Still a privately-owned family home, it has hosted many lavish events and celebrations over the centuries. The stunning Manor House and its spectacular surroundings offer a quintessentially English setting. Amongst the 10 acres of award-winning gardens, it boasts its own picture-perfect sunken pond and beautiful far-reaching views across the River Medway. With stone walls, archways, secret gardens, a maze and winding pathways, the venue offers incredible photo opportunities. What’s more, your guests are free to wander and explore. Indoor vows take place in the 13 th -century Undercroft, characterised by its three Medieval pillars and vaulted ceiling. The historical ambience is perfect for such an occasion. Outdoor ceremonies are held in the Rose Garden, which features a 300-year-old lime tree. The sweet fragrance of the surrounding flora envelopes the gazebo for a truly romantic setting. A large wedding marquee, positioned to make the most of the views, will be the setting for the celebrations. It can accommodate 150 day guests and 200 evening guests. With wooden floors, dividing walls and a private bridal changing room, it offers an ideal blank canvas to mould to your style. SPRIVERS MANSION 01892 723 722 | www.spriversmansion.co.uk This elegant Georgian country house, built in 1759, is blessed with beautiful original ornate features and décor. Its elegant façade is typical of the era, with its doll-house symmetry and large double oak doors. It sits at the centre of the formal gardens, composed of lawns for drinks, games and outdoor ceremonies, a walled rose garden, wildflower meadow, fields, orchards and ponds. You can say “I do” either in the ornate Yellow Room, where the French doors open out onto the garden, witnessed by 60 of your nearest and dearest, or on the main lawn with 150. Drinks receptions take place in the Georgian rooms of the main house, and in the formal gardens. The wedding breakfast and evening entertainment can both be hosted in the luxury canvas- pole marquee, with capacity for 180 at the wedding breakfast and 200 for the evening. Situated on the rear lawn, surrounded by orchards and meadows. Intimate wedding breakfasts for 36 guests can also be enjoyed in the main house. We love the fact that the wedding party of up to 10 guests are accommodated for the night on site and can even opt to stay for up to four nights. During the stay, dinners, barbecue, and drinks parties can all be arranged as well as brunch in the marquee the morning following the big day. www.lola rosephotography.com www.kerr yannduffy.com www.alex tentersphotography.co.uk HISTORIC VENUES 33
